Saige Arcand is a proud, ambitious and motivated nehiyaw iskwew. Growing up in a family who has provided traditional healing and counseling services for people across Canada is where she has learned most of her teachings that she practices today. Her love of helping others succeed in life is the foundation of the work she does.
Saige’s present positions consist of – community coordinator, life, coach, youth & women empowerment facilitator, makeup artist and beauty consultant. She earned her Arts and Culture Management Diploma from MacEwan University, has an Advanced Esthetic and Makeup Artistry Diploma from Eveline Charles Academy, and took Creative Facilitation Training through Partners for Youth Empowerment, in Toronto and most recently attained her life coach certificate. Saige has dedicated years to helping others and it is evidenced by her latest accomplished: named by the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation to their annual Top 30 Under 30 list in 2018. The list recognizes young Albertans who are working to achieve sustainable development goals. Saige has also been mentioned by CBC: The National as one of the 10 Young Canadians to Watch.
Though she is just 28 years old- she has been dedicated to a life-long learning practice as she continues to create opportunities to help others reach their full-potential in life. With eight years of experience facilitating various workshops and taking part in many events aimed to empower and uplift Indigenous peoples. Some of her workshops include; When You Look Good, You Feel Good holistic beauty workshop aimed to help boost self-esteem and create a healthier sense of self-awareness for our Indigenous teens and women. Saige’s most dominant values are culture and creativity which drives her to continue implementing creative arts based workshops to get others inspired and working towards achieving their dreams and goals. Her newest workshop being offered is Visualize it, Feel it and Achieve it offers an interactive play on goal setting using the technique of visualization to create vision boards to bring your desires to life. Saige also offers life management workshops and one on one life- coaching sessions to make successful change, live on purpose, lead with passion and live their best lives.
Saige lives believing that she continues to create her own unique path in life. As an Indigenous woman, she has a positive attitude with an adventurous spirit who is striving to continue her work in uplifting others to realize their unique gifts and helping them reach their full potential.
